Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons

Here at Hothouse we're big fans of the well known Irish brand Newbridge Silverware and a little while back we took a road trip down to Newbridge to visit the amazing show room and museum at the Newbridge Silverware visitor centre.

With so much to see from the minute you walk in, its no wonder the centre is one of the top attractions in the country for tourist with many visiting dignitaries and V.I.P's passing through its doors.

While there product displays on the ground floor are both impressive and beautiful its the museum of Style Icons which we found to be the highlight of the day. Seeing the actual dresses worn by some of the most beautiful woman in the world including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Victoria Beckham and Princess Diana made the most impact on the Hothouse crew.

Many of the exhibits were famous outfits or costumes used in both movies and stage like the green ensemble sported by Tippi Hedren in Hitchcocks film "The Birds" or Audrey Hepburns breakfast at Tiffanys dress.

Props, scripts and pictures from other movies, concerts and photo shoots are also on display with a movie script belonging to Marilyn Monroe the highlight.

Overall  each and every member of the Hothouse crew would recomend it..... followed by a spot of shopping before you leave.
