Spear headed by the one and only Karl Largerfeld, the collection featured typically french designs with a splash of vibrant colour (inspired by the baroque facades of the city) mixed in for good measure, all set in the historically beautiful Paseo del Prado. On lookers sat on park benches as they took in the stunning designs carefully put together by the luxury fashion house.
Models such as Stella Tennant and Lindsey Wixson strutted down the catwalk in brogues, flipflops, calf length lace skirts, wide legged trousers, strapless sequin embroidered dresses and the odd beret (a subtle nod to Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara).
Front row guests included Gisele Bundchen, Tilda Swinton and even Fidel Castro's grandson Tony Castro. Guests arrived to the venue in Cuba's famous candy coloured 1950's vintage cars and where treated to an impromptu after party when at the end of the show a celebration erupted on the streets where models and front row celebrities alike left the catwalk and mixed with the crowd..... celebrating the beginning of a new era in Cuban relations with style.
